球王做公益 允諾參加休士頓公開賽

以慈善公益為前提，麥克羅伊承諾他會參加休士頓公開賽，並會進行慈善拍賣，所得將會全數做慈善用途。

過往休士頓公開賽都在美國名人賽前一週開打，不少好手以此站做為暖身，今年則在名人賽前兩週開打，麥克羅伊將是第三度參加這場比賽。

麥克羅伊有一個名為〝6 Bags 〞的計劃，他將在比賽中使用繡有休士頓當地一家收容殘疾兒童的學校校名（Chinquapin Pre）的球袋，賽後交由麥克羅伊基金會拍賣，所得全捐給該校。

除了麥克羅伊外，Louis Oosthuizen與Lee Westwood兩大好手也會參加休士頓公開賽，麥克羅伊基金會在今年正式成立，以幫助全世界需要幫助的兒童為宗旨。
